My wife has suffered from sinus problems for the entire 18 years we have lived here in Atlanta Georgia.
It seems like every few weeks a sinus infection would drain her whatever little energy she has. And I don’t have to tell you how frustrating it is dealing with those sinus infections.
We’ve tried everything from over the counter medications to changing our diet by avoiding dairy products. While diet seems to make a difference… the nighttime sinus clogs & sinus headaches meant little sleep for her– and me.
As a result she spends (I spend) a small fortune on sinus drops she inserts in her nose before sleeping. It is not uncommon for her to use them 8-10 times a night. At $15.00 a bottle…you can certainly see how this can add up.
With all of the constant sinus pressure she had when she would lie down, we were at the point of willing to try anything. The thought of sinus surgery however was not an option.
If you have ever suffer from a relentless sinus headache, then you know exactly what I mean when I talk about sinus pain.
Lymphatic Drainage Massage– What is it & What Results Have We Received.
I approached a local massage therapist named Greg Sawyer. I offered to help him with his marketing in exchange for some of his “Lymphatic Drainage Massage” treatments.
To tell you the truth…I wasn’t sure if they would help. Shoot– I didn’t even know what a lymph node was.
Our sinuses are affected when our lymph nodes get backed up with something called lymph. A lymphatic massage therapist uses a special wand with suction on it that gently massages all of the lymph node areas of your body especially around the face , under your eyes and the back of your head.
Though doubtful at first, my wife noticed a difference the very first night, as she only had to use the drops 4-5 times instead of the normal 8-10.
It seems that the lymphatic massage helped to stimulate sinus drainage.
After only the second session… sinus nose drops were only required 1-2 times a night. Most importantly my wife is sleeping soundly throughout the night. Something she has not been able to do for many years.
If you would like to learn more about Greg Sawyer the Buford Massage Therapist and how his lymphatic drainage massage therapy may help your chronic sinus condition, feel free to give him a call. He has certainly helped us.
